Junior Auxiliary Unit 166
MISSION AND PURPOSE
In the spirit of service, not self, the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support the American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who served by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security.
The goal of the Junior Activities program is to encourage Juniors to continue their participation into senior membership. Success of the Junior activities program is largely dependent on the leadership provided by the Unit. Juniors are not a separate organization, but are under the guidance of an advisor (Junior activities Chair) and a committee of Unit members. Juniors Conduct their own meetings, carry out their own activities and are highly encouraged to participate in Unit meetings and activities. Their work should b coordinated with the work of the Unit Officers.
