A Little History
of Synepuxent Post 166

Synepuxent Post 166, Ocean City, Maryland was chartered in January 1946 and met at Sacco's Restaurant (which is no longer in existence) until 1948 when they moved to the Marlin Club and in 1953 obtained the land at 2308 Philadelphia Avenue. The original Post Home was a relatively small building that has seen much addition and renovation over the years. The last addition being the second floor which was added in 1999.

The first Commander was George B. Cropper, a well known eastern shore figure and the second Commander was Harry B.
