SCOUTING PROGRAM

Support for the Boy Scout movement came at The American Legion's first National Convention in 1919. Today, there are more than 2,500 Boy Scout units sponsored by Legion Posts throughout the country. We support Pack and Troop 261 and Troop 621.

Supporting Boy Scout activities is natural for Legionnaires, who bring their service-learned skills and experiences as veterans to bear to help build character and positive traits in "Young America." Few other Post activities generate more goodwill from the community
.

At Post 166 we have sponsored Boy Scout Troop 261 and Cub Scout Pack 261 for many years. We have a very good relationship with the Troop and they assist us in celebrating the Holidays throughout the year. During Veterans day 2015, the Troop was present to present a memorial wreath in honor of the male Veterans who had lost their lives in defense of liberty. Here are a few pictures of our Troop.
